Volta finally looks like Fifa Street in FIFA 22 - with Power Shots and Skill
For FIFA 22 Returns the Street mode Volta and reminds of the old FIFA Street parts. We show you what changes.
What is Volta? In FIFA 19 EA had finally introduced the long-awaited Street mode with Volta, which many FIFA fans had wished. But the two previous versions for FIFA 19 and FIFA 20 have never completely conquered the hearts of the FIFA players, which could also be seen at the PlayStation trophies.
Now EA wants to change basic and promises with Volta for FIFA 22 a fun upgrade that focuses on the fun with friends. More about the general release of FIFA 22 is here: Everything about the release of FIFA 22
Volta reminiscent of Power shots and tricks to Fifa Street
This is new in Volta: Flair and skill moves should finally be in the foreground in Volta for FIFA 22 and not only be accessories. The new Volta gameplay should reward skill moves, flair passes and wall passes and has therefore introduced the Skill Meter.
The new skill meter is a strip at the top of the screen, which consists of 3 parts. If you fill the first bar, counts the next goal twice, with 2 full bars counts the next triple and with completely filled Skill Meter the following goal is even four times.
You can fill the skill meter by:
- Flair passes
- Successful wall passports
- Overcome an opponent with a skill-Move
- Tunn the opponent
- Remove the ball to the opponent
Also new are the so-called Signature Abilities. These are special skills that you can select when creating your own avatar. There are 3 different abilities where you have to decide for one. The special skills are activated simply by pressing R1 / RB after the Signature Ability Meter was charged. Then the effect stops for a while before a cooldown occurs.
These abilities are available:
- Power Strike - Boostest the shot statement by 50% (also beyond 99 points). The effect stops 30 seconds and has a cooldown of 80 seconds
- Pure Pace - Grants a huge boost on the pace value. Lasts 15 seconds and has a 70 second of cooldown.
- Aggressive tackle - grants fouls and tackles without punishment. Stays active for 45 seconds before it goes in the 90 seconds Coldown.
