Luigi's Mansion: Behind Luigi is more than just "Marios Brother"

Video game characters usually come as a hero * in question because they have different strengths. The one is extremely strong, others convince through their endurance or to be aimed in magical skills. But my personal hero does not draw any of these properties. At least at first glance.

Luigi saw the light of day after Mario and has since stands since then - despite his stately size - in the shadow of Mario. But behind him is more than just "the brother of Mario". Why Luigi is underestimated too much and rightly part of our hero is * inner ridge, I will betray you.

Luigi as a ghosting

When we think of the games where Luigi takes the lead role, then most of us the Luigi's Mansion series is first one. It lies at Luigi, his brother, Princess Peach and some toads to save in paintings. What Mario is the Koopa King Bowser is the Ghost-King Buu Huu for Luigi.

In fact, Luigi has the nose for me in this comparison and for a simple reason. Because we'll be honest: what's worse? Turtles or ghosts? Here it quickly becomes clear who has been heavier from the sibling duo.

Jasmine Taxes @ kerona44 Whether Mario Party, Mario Kart or Mario Tennis: Luigi is my number 1 and will always stay. He proves that despite his weaknesses one can become a hero. I also evidence often enough that the entropy, the measure of the disorder, is not just on the sheet of paper. But if I see how Luigi out of his abilities, I feel motivated.

Apart from that, Luigi is a death-grave journeyman anyway. Although he jerks together in the smallest "Buh" and has a panic fear of spirits, he does not scratch back from combing the ghosts and save Mario and Princess Peach.

And that's exactly this weakness that Luigi overcomes over and over again for the love of his family makes him a role model for me. Luigi proves that a superhero does not always have to be muscle-packed to cause great.

Loyal plumber

Luigi also knows how to care for faithful friendships. In each of the Luigi's Mansion parts, Professor I. Gidd stands for the mutual man with the dungarees to put him and equips him with a vacuum cleaner.

What is that? Luigi has a certain charm, the Mario does not completely spray for me. With his clumsy species, Luigi has its own way to approach problem solutions. His path is not necessarily the shorter, but the entertaining painter. And not only I appreciate that, but also Professor I. Gidd.

For example, Luigi helps to drive a special key to Mario in Paper Mario: The Origami King. It takes him to the most diverse places in the mushroom kingdom without being really successful. But just at the end of the game turns out that always leaves on Luigi. Even if he does not get the lead role in a game.

It depends on the right technique

Through his (presumably) healthy diet, Luigi also has the right astral body to face his opponents. This gives it the ability to jump higher and race faster than his brother in some games. This is the case, for example, in Super Mario 64 DS and Super Mario Galaxy. Also in Mario Kart Luigi is a faster driver as many other characters through its aerodynamics.

His skills and character make Luigi so popular so that he got his own Platformer offshoot with New Super Luigi U. Since no challenge is too big for Luigi, the difficulty was even further elevated: For each level, a time limit of 100 seconds is valid. But Luigi would not be Luigi if he would not overcome this obstacle!

A hero at second glance

You see: There are numerous reasons to close Mario's brother's heart. At first glance, it is not apparent why Luigi appears in the hero * inner week of Gampro. But I hope that I could convince you here, why Luigi earns a place in the ranking.

What do you say: has Luigi justified a place in our hero * inner week?
